Democracy For America Endorses Denzel McCampbell for Detroit City Clerk
National organization to mobilize support for local campaign in Detroit
DETROIT — Today Denzel McCampbell’s campaign for Detroit City Clerk announced a major endorsement from Democracy for America, a national progressive organization.
The endorsement comes as Denzel has built a strong grassroots campaign focusing on increasing voter accessibility, transparency and civic education for all Detroit residents.
“I am honored to be endorsed by Democracy for America,” said Denzel McCampbell. “DFA has been key in helping to drive people-centered change across the country and I’m so glad they are partnering with us to make our democracy more inclusive and transparent in Detroit. It is what Detroiters are demanding and I promise to deliver.”
Democracy for America is a member-driven people-powered organization committed to building a broad coalition to work towards progressive political changes in our communities. For the past 17 years, DFA has trained, empowered and mobilized candidates across the country to build support for progressive change.

Denzel is deeply committed to the democratic well-being of the city of Detroit and has spent the past decade organizing and advocating to help residents with a variety of issues ranging from water affordability and reimagining public safety to strengthening public health services and transparency. He has been a key advocate on voting rights and election protection, working to expand access to the ballot box and fight back against the continued attacks on our voting rights.
Democracy For America will mobilize their membership to support the grassroots campaign for Denzel McCampbell for Detroit City Clerk. The general election will take place on November 2nd.
